Musical play “Stormy Night” had premiered in Seoul, South Korea

A musical play which is adapted upon “Stormy Night,” a creation by the renowned Japanese illustrator Yuichi Kimura, had premiered in early August this year at the theater of Ewha Womans University in Seoul, South Korea. The atmosphere at the venue was enthusiastic, and several medias including the Seoul United News, broadcasted the event.

The “Stormy Night” series is a masterpiece of Kimura and has been a bestseller in Japan since its publication in 1994, with 3 million copies sold. It was awarded many times such as 1995 Nikkei Children’s Publishing Culture Award. It was selected in 2000 as Japanese elementary school textbook for fourth grade and it’s often referred to as the “Japanese version of Harry Potter.”
